Raised in Louisville, KY, identical twin sisters Chandra and Leigh Watson have developed a style of Indie-Folk that prominently features their signature sibling harmonies.  The twins grew up in Kentucky amidst country and roots traditions, then relocated to California in the late '90s to start local band Slydell.  At the same time, they began to collaborate with other well-known musicians including Jenny Lewis.

In recent years they have toured in support of their own releases Night Covers, Talking to You, Talking to Me, Fire Songs and Southern Manners, as well as continuing to perform as back-up vocalists for some of music's most notable acts.  Recently the twins have performed with:  Foster The People, The Shins, Conor Oberst, Jenny Lewis, My Morning Jacket, Everest, Jessie Baylin, Bahamas, Pegi Young, Willie Nelson and many more.

The Watson Twins most recent effort Pioneer Lane, brings their unique familial harmonies to a collection of original family folk songs.  Combining their Indie-Rock sensibilities with positive pop lyrics, Pioneer Lane is a record for the whole family.  Producer Russell Pollard, of the band Everest, creates a whimsical instrumental landscape which complements the songs and gives this record a unique sound.  Friendship, family, nature and love resonate at the heart of this record from beginning to end.
